Authenticity

Our commitment to authenticity

ANNAGATE specialises in authentic vintage and antique uranium glass and pottery. Each item is carefully sourced, inspected, and described with accuracy and transparency. Any item that is not vintage or antique would be clearly identified as such. No modern reproductions are sold and items are verified to contain uranium.

Every item listed has clear photographs (including UV fluorescence where applicable), an honest description of condition, age, and origin and full disclosure of any known flaws or wear consistent with age. As the photographs are part of the listing, you will always receive the exact item displayed within that listing.

 

Certification

Contents

For selected items, ANNAGATE can provide a Certificate of Authenticity upon request. The certificate may include: an item description, the estimated period of production, the material and known maker (if identifiable), confirmation of uranium glass content through a radiation measurement and the date of sale and ANNAGATE reference.

Suitability

Certificates are particularly suitable for rare or high-value pieces, gifts and collectors who wish to document provenance. If a certificate is available for an item, this will be noted on the product listing or can be requested before purchase. 

Transparency

Shipping & Returns

Shipping

All items at ANNAGATE are carefully hand-picked, inspected, and packed with great care. Due to the uniqueness and rarity of antique items, we strongly encourage customers to review product descriptions and photos carefully and to contact us with any questions prior to placing an order.

All items are packed using protective materials suitable for fragile antiques. Wherever possible, we use recyclable packaging materials. 

Shipping is available throughout Europe and worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel size. Orders are usually dispatched within 2-4 business days. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been shipped.

Import Duties & Customs

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, VAT, customs fees, or handling charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost, are the responsibility of the customer and are fully determined by local customs authorities and vary by country.

ANNAGATE has no control over these fees and cannot predict their amount.

If an order is refused, returned, or left unclaimed due to unpaid customs charges, any original shipping costs will not be refunded. Any return shipping costs, customs fees, or handling charges incurred will be deducted from the refund. If return shipping costs exceed the order value, no refund can be issued.

Returns

Due to the nature of antique and vintage items, please read the following carefully.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, in accordance with EU consumer law.
Items must be returned in the same condition as received. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item arrived in a different state than originally listed. Items described as having specific flaws or wear cannot be returned for those reasons and unique pieces cannot be exchanged.

If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including clear photos of the item, the packaging and the damage. We will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

If you return an item from outside the EU the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. The customer also takes responsibility for any import duties or taxes incurred upon re-entry. To avoid additional charges, we recommend clearly marking the parcel as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional charges. If ANNAGATE is charged import fees for a returned item, these costs will be deducted from the refund amount if applicable.

ANNAGATE respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect and use personal information only as necessary to process and fulfill orders, arrange shipping and delivery, communicate with customers regarding orders or inquiries and to meet legal and accounting obligations

Personal data may include your name, address, email address, payment information, and order details. Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party providers. ANNAGATE does not store full payment card details and does not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored securely and retained only for as long as legally required. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, as well as to object to or restrict processing, in accordance with GDPR.
